Pushing Snow Across Public Roadways

The practice of leaving piles of snow on public roadways after plowing private driveways or parking lots creates a hazard for the traveling public and creates a problem for our road plowing operations. In some cases, it may cause the person responsible to be held liable for personal injuries and/or property damage.

Per Wisconsin Statutes 86.01 and 346.96, it is unlawful for persons to leave deposits of materials on roadways.

This is an issue of roadway and public safety and the Town of Bell town crew requests your cooperation in curtailing this problem.
