The Town of Bell will be arranging a Level I Chainsaw Training and Certification course with Rich Good of R Good Solutions LLC in August.

Level I training is for those with little to no experience using a chainsaw and will cover basics such as personal protective equipment, chainsaw safety features, chainsaw maintenance, body mechanics, planning, open face notch and bore cutting, hinge establishment, and spring pole release.

The single-day course will consist of 3 – 4 hours of classroom time followed by hands-on practice with the trainer. Classes typically run 6 – 8 hours.

The course will cost approximately $112 per person (exact cost to be determined upon registration) with a minimum of ten attendees needed to schedule the course.
