A period of dangerously cold temperatures and wind chills is expected this weekend into early next week, with continued risk for rounds of extreme cold over the next 3-4 weeks. We have high confidence that the coldest air of the winter so far will arrive this weekend, with a pattern that will be favorable for additional rounds of below normal temperatures through much of February.
