Between one and two inches of slushy snow accumulations are forecast elsewhere. Precipitation will begin as rain late Friday night into Saturday morning, changing to snow for most locations Saturday night, and back to rain on Sunday.
  • Strong northeast winds Saturday and into Sunday morning, which may cause lakeshore flooding. Gale force winds are expected on Lake Superior.
  • Rainfall may cause localized flooding and lead to rises on area rivers and streams.

Timing

  • Start: Precipitation will move in late Friday night and Saturday morning
  • Worst: Saturday and Saturday night
  • Most intense snowfall: Saturday night
  • End:Sunday

Uncertainty

  • Uncertainty in forecast snowfall accumulations remains based on how quickly rain may change over to snow.
