April 21 Town Board Meeting POSTPONED
April 12, 2020
Hello Everybody,
We hope you’re all healthy and enduring our isolated lives.
In the interest of public health, the Annual Town Meeting and Town Board Meeting scheduled for April 21 is postponed until Tuesday, May 19. It would be very difficult to give proper opportunity for public participation when many of us are unfamiliar with or don’t have the technology necessary.
Our most recent election held on April 7 was completed in a safe and efficient manner, thanks to detailed preparation and execution. Social distancing, sanitizing between voters, curb-side voting, and enforcement of masks inside the Community Center were all handled flawlessly. Many thanks to Mary Beth, Janice Olson, Gina Emily, Vicki Lewis-Hay, Jessica Resac, Jennifer Sauter-Sargent, Willa Sauter-Sargent, and Judy Kerr. Thank you to Lina Hardy for providing masks.
Of the 171 voters in this election, 116 voted by absentee ballot. We encourage you to use this convenient service in the upcoming election on May 12. See the attachment to this email for information and instructions.
Just a reminder that “Safer at Home” does not mean that you should not go outside. In fact, the order encourages you to get out and get some exercise – just keep your distance.
In a more cautious tone, please wear a mask when visiting public spaces where you come in close contact with other people.
DON’T CATCH IT – DON’T SPREAD IT
Have a good week,
Your Town Board of Supervisors
