Town of Bell Planning Commission Meeting Minutes Sept. 5, 2019

Meeting was called to order at 5:07 p.m. by Jackie Eid

Commission members present: Dave Tillmans, Gordon Anderson, Mark Ehlers, Jackie Eid

Absent: Greg Weiss

Community members present: Allen Hahn

Minutes from the Aug. 8, 2019 meeting were reviewed and approved as written.

Motion to approve by Gordon Anderson. Second by Dave Tillmans. Unanimous

There was no separate correspondence. Correspondence that was received relates to a permit request that will be presented during the meeting.

Superior Ave. original platted road. Research was done at Bayfield County Register of Deeds. The original platted map from 1902 was compared to the 3 most current CSM’s dated 2002, 2016, & 2019. Superior Ave. is an 80’ r.o.w Motion by Jackie Eid to accept the findings. Second by Mark Ehlers. Unanimous.

Parking Plan: Discussion was started and will carry over to the October meeting.

Hutchinson Heritage LLC Special Use Class B: After much discussion a motion was made to deny the Special Use Class B. This was based on the Town of Bell Comprehensive Plan 6.0 Agriculture, Natural, and Cultural Resources Element. 6.10.2 Goals and Objectives Policy: Encourage enforcement of uniform setbacks from waterways for land disturbing activities such as logging operations and minerals extraction on public and private land. Motion by Mark Ehlers to deny request. Second by Gordon Anderson. Unanimous.

Survey Results: Looked at some of the various sections. Will continue at the October meeting.
